I'm going for Prk on Friday. I understand Lasik can cause dry eye for quite some time after procedure. Is this the same for Prk? I do have some degree of dry eye (can't wear contacts, and very dry in the morning, but no need for wetting drops.) I'm ok with some degree of drier eyes as long as it goes away with time.
Thanks,
Kelly

My dry eyes are similar to yours. PRK is less risky than lasik for dry eyes. Whats your pescription and expectations reguarding PRK?

Ace,
My rx is R -4.75 and L -4.50. I was not a good canidate for Lasik because of dry eye as well as a thinner cornea in one eye. I could handle the dryness the way it is now, I just don't want it to get worse. Have you had refractive surgery? or talked to a Doc.?
Interested in what you know.
Kelly
