I've recently found I cannot wear contacts because my eyes are just too sensitive. I plan on having Lasik surgery in about a year or so when the money is saved up. Will this affect whether I can have the surgery? My options for contacts is limited due to needing toric, being very nearsighted and having a large astigmatism in both eyes.

The cause of the sensitivity that keeps you out of contact lenses needs to be diagnosed. If it is due to dry eyes, only after the dry eyes are treated and managed should you consider refractive surgery.
