I am considering both Lasik and contacts and am wondering which would be better. In the past, I had trouble with soft contacts (1988) (conjunctivitus from proteins), gas permeable (1988) (glare, halos, red eyes and irritation) and toric (1996) (double vision). I have heard there is a new toric lense out there. I have approx. -7.5 x -2.5. Would the new torics work for me and/or would I be better off with them or Lasik?
Thanks.

try the contact option first. The reason is because its not permaent. If you dont like the contacts then you can research into lasik and its risks. If the new torics or RGP contacts work, you save the risks of surgury. Alternativately you could go back to glasses if you dont like contacts and dont feel comfortable going for lasik.
