I am 23 years old and am very myopic with astigmatism. My rx is -7.5 and -7.0 with a +.25 astigmatism in both eyes. My eyes have been stable for almost five years. I received a consultation with a Lasik surgeon and was told that I am eligible for custom and basic lasik. I was wondering, since custom lasik is about $1000 more than basic, if basic lasik would be ok? I don't mind the halos at night.

If you are a candidate for wavefront, by all means go for it! The extra $1000 is well worth the price reducing the chance of poor night vision. Your astigmastim is so low, it might not even be factored in the laser. Whats your expectations reguarding lasik and have you researched throughtly into all the possible risks? Hate glasses? Cant tolerate contacts?
