About me: 28 years old, glasses since first grade, contacts since sixteen, Rx = -6.75 & -9. Prescription has been stable for 7-8 years.

Dr #1: said I was good to go with lasik on both eyes. Uses LadarVision 4000 to do the surgery.

Dr #2: said I could do lasik on the -6.75 eye, but the -9 eye's cornea was too thin. Suggested that I go for PRK on that one. He said that lasik on the thin eye could cause "warpness" in that eye later. He uses Visx Star S4 Active Trak.

Who do I believe???? Also does it make a difference if a doctor is certified by the American Board of Eye Surgery? thanks!
