I am a 52 year old female, nurse. I had 20/20
vision, just couldn't see up close anymore,
presbyopia. I had conductive keratoplasty on
May 6, 2004 by Dr Perozek at Maumee Eye
Clinic in Maumee, Ohio to restore my close
vision---------Big waste of money!!! I have
NEVER been able to READ without my
reading glasses on after the procedure. I can
make out letters (numbers are more difficult to
determine), but letters are always blurry at a
reasonable reading distance. This procedure
DOESN'T WORK and it is a big waste of
$1,500!!!!! So I want to tell everybody who is
contemplating this new "TEMPORARILY"
approved by FDA procedure called conductive
keratoplasty to restore their close
vision--------IT DOESN'T WORK, SO SAVE
YOUR $$$$$ BECAUSE THE EYE DOCTORS
ARE MAKING BIG MONEY OFF OF YOU IF
YOU DO. Ya, it's safe, it's very safe, but it
doesn't do anything. Bottom line------You still
have to wear your reading glasses!!!!! Thanks
for listening and whatever you do----DON'T
LET ANYBODY POKE HOLES IN YOUR EYES!
Oh ya, my ophthalmologist says I can wear
"lenses" (glasses) now, see my vision is
messed up and I have buy two different
strengths lenses to match my eyes resulting
in very expensive glasses,(believe me I won't
buy them at his office). paula
