I've read about an investigational procedure called Surgerical Reverse Presbyopia (SRP) that is being tried in Canada (of course) and Mexico.

Is there a chance that this new procedure might make it into the US in the next couple of years? Is is really able to correct presbyopia and negate the need for reading glasses after LASIK?

I'd much rather wait a bit and have surgery that could correct all my vision problems at one time, at least to the extend LASIK can help vision problems.

Thanks for your help with this question.

Currently, there are 6 test sites in the US that are investigating SRP. You can get more info at their website: www.presbycorp.com

Many people are going south or off shore to have the procedure done. Final results are so-so.

This procedure is suppose to eliminate the need for reading glasses.

It make take a few years before it is approved i the US
