Hello. I am 24, live in England, have prescription of -4.25 in both eyes and, after 2 consultations for laser surgery have been told I am suitable. One of them suggested I have lasek (not lasik) as I have fairly large pupils, saying also that wavefront might reduce problems with night glare (which I already get slightly). The other also suggested wavefront, but said either lasik or lasek would work. I am more comfortable going with lasek, but wondered if you could advise whether using wavefront technology as well might be a good option given my pupils? Also - daft question I know - but do either lasek or lasek with wavefront physically alter the size of your pupils (I'm quite attached to mine being on the large size!) Thank you.

I know of eye drops that temporairly constrict your pupils. How large are yours? Mine are an easy 8mm and this has hesisated my own consideration in getting lasik. Large pupils are a risk factor, especially for night vision
