I had a radial keratotomy in 1981 to correct nearsightedness. I achieved 20/20 for 15 years and then drifted into farsightedness. I know wear progressive lens eyeglasses, or a combination of contacts and reading glasses, though neither solution is satisfactory to me.
What are my chances of a successful Lasik procedure? I am a 48 yr old male, so I would accept reading glasses as an outcome.

Some of my happiest patients have been post RK lasik patients who had residual nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism. You would, of course, need a complete eye examination before an ophthalmologist could tell you about your candidacy. The fact you've had previous RK would not disqualify you. Good luck!
