I had RK done on both eyes about 6 years ago with good results. I was corrected from -4.5 to -.5 diopters in both eyes. My vision stayed the same until about 9 months ago when vision in right eye worsened. I returned to center who did surgery for check up and was told I have Hyperopic creep and vision is now +1.25. I was also told laser correction was not available at that time for this but would be in the future. Would current Lasik correct this? Thanks, Jim.

It's certainly possible, but you need to wait until your prescription stabilizes before getting LASIK.
Good Luck, Dean Hu

Jim,
I practice in Phoenix, Arizona. Probably more patients have had RK in Arizona than in any other area of the US. Because of this, I have treated a number of patients that had RK previously. My expereice has been that these patients do extremely well and have been very happy with LASIK. If your correction is what you said, it can be correct now with the right laser. Not all the laser are approved for correcting hyperopia like you have.
Good Luck,
Robert Brems, M.D.
