I suffer from a form fruste keratoconus and have an astigmatism. Four weeks ago I had intacs fitted and my vision has improved greatly, it is now 60%. The professor that carried out the procedure has told me that my astigmatism is preventing my sight from being 100%.
At the consultation he said that he would like to get rid of the astigmatism (which is -1.5) with a small laser op. I have looked on the internet and found that KC is being treated with PRK - Is this a safe op to have considering I have only got to have a small amount of astigmatism reduced? What will the recovery time be?
