In follow up to an earlier post "are there any options"....I was fitted with a pair of soft lens (I could not tolerate the RGP) and I have had a moderate amount of relief from the night time driving side effects (halos, starbursts and shadows). I am still using a trial pair and the plan is to "tweek" the Rx to try and get even better results. Having said all this...I feel better and less anxious when I drive at night. I am not 100%, but I've just begun to try to get it better. So to any of you who have similar side effects...try some contact lenses but also try to get with a practitioner who really is well versed in contact lenses. I wish promising results to all as I have had so far and hope for more. I could get the specific info on what type of lenses I am using and post if anyone needs.
