Please Help.Iam a 23yr old boy with a very higy myopic eyes.My left eye is =-16 and right eye is =-18.I also have retinal problem of it getting weaker and weaker.I also have small holes in my retina. and it is getting detached.Shold I go for a lasik surgery.Please help.

Your pescription is well out of the range of lasik. Also with your experiences of retina problems, any surgury will be risky. You could look into IOLs but talk to several doctors if this is even a good idea for you. How well do you see with glasses now? 20/30? 20/40? 20/50?

Thanks for the reply.
With glasses my vision is:-
PMT< -18.00/-2.00 DC X 170 -6/18 - NI
-17.00 DS - 6/18 - NI
Doctos have advised me to go for a LIO.I do not know what is it.Please tell me about it.Should I go for it or not.Is there any risks involved in it.And what is advisable.
