My husband has Lasik surgery 2weeks ago. Immediately following the surgery he was told he had a corneal tear. He had extreme pain for 1 week and then was told he had developed the early stages of Sands Over Sahara in that same eye. 9 days following surgery, he was taken on an urgent basis back to surgery for irrigation. We are now 8 days post irrigation. He was told their is edema and mottling and may need an enhancement in 6 months or a year due to overcorrection. His vision in the affected eye is 20/50. The other eye was initially 20/20 but is now regressing. Do we need a second opinion from a specialist in this area?
