I had my Ladarvision Flying Spot laser treatment 9 days ago. I had been about -7 diopter myopic in both eyes. Goal was -1 diopters as I am 46 and would like to avoid reading glasses. My left eye apparently is doing great.
My right eye is becoming less nearsighted, presently -1 diopter sph, -0.5 diopt cyl 90 degrees.
The problem is that my right eye sees a ghost at about 1/5 of a degree of arc of vision to the right of whatever I am looking at. This makes objects slightly blurry or double at whatever distance I'm looking at them from. Eight days out at follow-up visit, I was told that I have an "epithelium wave", which should settle down on its own as long as I keep lubricating my eyes. I have no pain and the edges of the flap seem to be healing nicely. Generally do you agree that the ghost will disappear or would you consider repositioning the flap? Also can you explain "epithelium wave"?

My right eye problem is actually pretty persistant. Things are not just slightly blurry, they are blurry. Newsprint is hard to read. Some loss of contrast especially around the edges of any object, compared to other eye.
