I had Lasik 4 weeks ago. On my first 2 follow ups everything was great. On my 1 month check up (today) they told me I have some minor wrinkles in my left eye but they arn't affecting my vision. Thay are around the edge. I am extremely worried and think that they should be fixed. The doctor told me not to worry (many many times) and told me they would check it again in 2 months. Should I worry? Should I insist they refloat my flap? Should I get another opinion?

Thanks, Mike

Hello Mike,

Did you get an answer to your question? I just found today that I have the same issue--great vision 1 week after Lasik (20/15 in each eye), but a fold or wrinkle in my left eye. Dr. says not to worry and I do not need refloating b/c my eyesight is so good, but I am worried that I should get it fixed. Did you resolve your wrinkle? What happened?

Thanks,
Mia

Hmmm... I found my vision was extremely poor a week after surgery. The original office where I did my surgery didnt really know what was going on. SO I decided to get another opinion. After talking to another surgeon, he found I had wrinkles. He used a swab-like thing to brush the flap and get rid of the wrinkles. That helped a lot with the blurriness.

Not sure if it was wise but my vision was just absolutely terrible up to that point.
