I had Lasic 6 1/2 moth ago and after that i have been strugling with dry eyes. My left eye is blury and vision fluctuate a lot during the day. Right eye has been fixed since the begining... great day vision but at night i have been having glare problems.
After 6 months of dry eye treament with systane, restasis and permanent puntual plugs, my doctor told me that the inflamation on both eyes have dissapear and corneas look fine. When i asked why the night problems havent dissapear she told me tha the only thing different between the two eyes is that the right eyes still have stria, but she says they are out of visual axis... she have prescribed brimopress (brimonidina tartrato 0,2%)for 30 days to see if the night problems on the right eye dessapears.
I asked her that i have heard that the only way to remove striae was to lift the flap or suture, and she told me that it could smoth itself... actually she told me that i had chronic dry eyes and that i had striae on both eyes and that on this 6 months the left eye striae had smooth... she told Me "I Dont want to lift your flap, due to your slow healing and your chronic dry eyes... This is going to be a Step Back on That".
The problem is I'm scared that the striar may fixate itself... My Night vision on right eye is terrible and it exacervate with air conditioning.
What do you think???
I m planning to travel to USA so someone check my eyes... Can you Refere me to any doctor on the Miami Dade Area??
Thanks,
