Hello, I had my lasik operation about 6 weeks ago and had a checkup with another ophthalmologist and he told me I have some small wrinkling in my left eye .... said small lines going across my eye .... and some small debris in there as well .... my vision in my left eye with the wrinkling is 20/25 and my right eye is 20/20 ....
he said to wait about 2 - 3 months and come back in for a checkup ....
my question is:
1. will the wrinkling heal itself over time since its a small amount or do i need immediate surgery not to cause further or permenant damage .... if not immediate how long can i afford to wait so it doesn't get worse?
2. will my body automatically clean that small debris underneath my flap over time and clear up that very minor haze ....
thanks for you help and advice ....

A small amount of debris under a flap is common. In most cases the debris does not cause a problem and "dissolves" over many months. The wrinkles may or may not be significant. The question is, what is the quality of vision with the best correction in front of the eye? If the vision quality is poor, the wrinkles may need addressed. If the quality of vision is good, they should probably be left alone.

Thanks Dr. Dornic. The doctor did mention to wait couple of months to see how things go with the debris and wrinkle and have a re-check. He mentioned that if the vision in the left eye with the debris and wrinkle gets any worse, can possibly treat with a topical steriod. I was just really worried since they say waiting with wrinkles is not a good thing. And I guess the wrinkles weren't that big of an issue since he didn't recommend immediate surgery.
I wasn't sure when you said, "The question is, what is the quality of vision with the best correction in front of the eye?" .... well, when i had my vision test it was 20/25 in that eye with the debris and wrinkles .... When I compare my left eye to the right one. My right eye is more clearer and brighter, but hopefully my left eye will clearer when the debris gets "dissolved".
Thanks ...

I doubt thr debris is affecting your vision. I question whether the wrinkles are. The question I was trying to ask is: Can the vision in that eye be corrected to a good level of vision with lenses (an eyeglass). If not, consideration to addressing the wrinkles now might be advisable.
