My wife has become interested in getting lasik done and I'm excited for her. If we do it however, i want to make sure she gets the absolute best doctor possible, somebody who is a recognized leader in the field by their peers, and somebody who has an impeccable record of safety and success. Does anybody have any good references for us? We'd like a doctor with the best accrditations possible and here's the real trick, one that gives pretty personal service. If those two things don't coincide then could you let us know good starting points in both categories? The more recommendations the better.

Also, what are the best options out there for folks with nearsightedness, and what machinery should we be asking about that is the top of the line tool for the task at hand.
