I had my original lasik surgery performed Aug. '01 followed by an enhancement procedure in Dec. 2001. Due to conflicting opinions of the post-op docs (one of whom is no longer with the practice) neither of whom were the surgeon (who also had a differing opinion) I am seeking an opthalmologist in metropolitan Chicago area for further treatment. I have 20/50 vision in my right eye and 20/70 in my left. Obviously I need to see better, particularly for driving. But I really need an opthalmologist who will give me an objective opinion as to what my options are at this time....further surgery, eyeglasses or contacts. Can someone recommend a reputable doctor who will examine and advise as to the most prudent path to follow? Thank you.

I know this is kind of late to answer you but I just became a member yesterday and I saw your question today. I'm also from Chicago and I got the surgery done on 02/02 last year. I got it done by LakeShore Eye physicians, I don't know if this is the same place you got it done!!!! Can you please let me know or you might want to consider this place as an option??? Please let me know.
