Do surgeons near teaching hospitals ever let refractive surgery students do laser surgery or enhancement procedures on their patients? There was an unidentified observer in the laser room when I had my laser surgery. I'll always wonder who did the surgery.

What are the required surgical records in California of LASIK procedures (first surgery and enhancements)? Is a surgeon's "handwritten" signature of a procedure mandatory? If so, should I be able to see this form or get a copy?
