I had my eyes done 1 1/2 years ago at Dr. Lomas office in Renton. My pupils are 7mm, my script was about -3.5. I liked Dr Lomas but I did *not* like the after surgery care. I would probably not go there again given the chance.
I did have pretty good results all in all. I'm close to 20/20 in both eyes which I really like. I still have some dry eye issues, especially in the morning to the point where I still need drops. I also have some bothersome (but not debilitating) problems with ghosting and starbursts in low light. I'm also slightly over-corrected but not too bad. (about +.25/+.5)There is always a trade-off, no surgery is going to be perfect but like I said I would probably go elsewhere given the chance. The doctors on this site can recommend some other surgeons in the area I'm sure.
One issue you might consider is to get my lower duct plugs, which I needed because of my dry eyes, cost just over 2 times what it cost at another doctor's office. I did get a discount on the reading glasses I needed the first couple months after surgery. You may want to factor in that kind of thing as well.
Good luck.
Let me know how it goes.

Thanks Jacque for the info. Did you have a hard time scheduling after care with Dr. Lomas? I wonder if any type of Dr. can put in the eye duct plugs? Renton is quite a long ways from my home.
I definately think that I will try the duct plugs initially and maybe seek further treatment for my dry eyes.
Looking up the affects of dry eyes- most people find them quite debilitating. Also Dr. Lomas, completely downplayed any ill effects of dry eyes. That kind of turns me off from him.

Scheduling was very easy but I felt like they just wanted me in and out as soon as possible - very 'assembly line'. Also, the information I got was not always the most reliable. I'm not saying they were dis-honest but I don't think they always gave me complete information - I ended up going to another doctor for my primary eye care. Like I said before, I would probably not choose Dr. Lomas's office again.
I think that some doctors do gloss over dry eyes but it's not a problem to take lightly. Dry eyes can be life-altering.
I believe most eye doctors can put in plugs, it's not complicated but there are different causes of dry eyes. You may want to go to a doctor to get examined to find out why you have dry eyes and treat the exact cause. Could be that warm compresses and eyelid massages will help more than plugs.

Thanks for the info, I was checking out the Lomas Eye Clinic myself, went for a routine exam with Lasik in mind. During my initial visit, I got the impression of the "assembly line" treatment myself, I waited 30 minutes in the chair before they came in to do an exam. I talked to a coworker today that recommended Dr Mockovak at the King and Mockovak Clinic, have you heard anything about him? Think I'll put a new post here also to ask about him.
