I had a free consult today at the LAC in Pasadena. If i
elect to use LAC for my LADAR procedure, Dr.
Shammas will be performing it. He is the president of
the LAC, but not ABMS certified in ophthalmology, as
his two associates, Drs. Fahd and Tinoosh are. Board
certification is a good thing, but I do understand not the
only thing to look for in a medical provider.

Any feedback on the Dr, or the center (is is a 'laser
mill'? respected?) would be appreciated. I don't know
how many consults are appropriate before selecting a
practice to go with,,, but I don't look forward repeated
dilation and examination. Should I bring my Dx and
price quote to other practices?
I was quoted a price of $2690 (total, for both eyes).
