4 weeks post-lasik surgery, and my eyes are burning. I have been putting artificial tears every 30 minutes. Only one week on Restasis and no benefits, yet. My question is that is there any concerns with putting punctual plugs, and do they provide immediate relief. Thanks

Punctal plugs may provide relief, but there is no certainty that the problems you describe are caused by poor tears or by the type of tear problem that would be helped with punctal plugs. As an example, if you have a poor tear lipid layer, punctal plugs may be more problematic that helpful. Also, if you are using eye drops that have a preservative (even no preservative on contact eye drops), this may be causing the burning sensation, not a tear deficiency.
We have a detailed article about Lasik related temporary dry eyes that may be helpful, including several tips on how to define and resolve dry eye conditions. Visit http://www.complicatedeyes.org/dry_eye_treatment.htm
