i have a question - i have a gray covering over my left eye that was detecting in a test- it looks like there is a cloud over part of the retina. I do not have the floaters or anything like that. I have a stigmatism in both eyes and i wear a prisim in the glass for the left eye. Do you know what this could be? All of the info I have been reading says you will have floaters etc.. with a detachment but I do not seem to have that. My grandmother suffers from macular degeneration and did not know if this is hereditary.

This is not a situation that you will be able to diagnose over the Internet. You need to be evaluated by a medical eye doctor, preferably a retina specialist. You should seek this evaluation at your earliest convenience.
