Three days ago I had surgery to correct nearsightedness,Now I realize how much close up stuff I do.Work in woodshop to build furniture as a hobby.I think that maybe I should of had monovision done. Can this still be done and how long do I have to wait after this surgery was done? I can't see anythingfrom about four foot or closer without glasses . Chas

Enhancement surgery to induce monovision may be appropriate, but you should wait at least 3-6 months before having additional elective surgery. You should also try monovision correction with contact lenses before having it done with surgery. You would not want to make (another) permanent correction that you ultimately don't like.

I would have tried monovision before lasik but it may not be worth risking more lasik now. Enjoy your clear distance vision!
