I am almost 2 years post Lasik surgery. My sight is blurry and I experience most all of the symptoms from mild to moderate straie over the central portion of the cornea from the surgery and post-healing. Symptoms are blurred vision that clears up momentarily with Refresh drops until I blink, ghosting, "bleeding" of light sources and multiple images especially from light sources. I have never had enhancements or post-lifting of the flap and stretching/suturing techniques as I feared they could make the issues worse. I also suffer from chronic dry eyes as a result of the surgery, which probably also contributed to the formation of the straie. I have been on restasis for a year, and also have all 4 tearducts plugged, take omega and flaxseed oil, use lipid sprays on the eye, use a humidifier, genteal gel at night, and constantly use Refresh tears as others such as Systane and Biontears cause my sight to stay blurry. The only thing that has improved my vision in the past is the use of RGP lenses, but because of my dryness issues they are not a permanant solution.
Anyway, there is a procedure called PTK which was originated by Dr. Steinert out of harvard to basically carve down the hills caused by straie. This procedure, however, is not that common. I found a doctor who is one of Steinert's understudies who can perform the surgery, with maybe also a PRK touchup, but he recommends possibly just either waiting to see if my vision imprpves or not proceeding, as there are no guarantees with the surgery.
Has anyone had sucess with the PTK for straie issues? I have gone almost 2 years since the initial surgery and while some days are okay in very bright light, I am not willing to give up and live with this vision.

I had PTK done on my right eye sixteen days ago for striae.
My major complaints were that my eyesight just about shut down in lower light conditions, and colors were drab. So far, PTK has fixed those issues. I also had slight double vision (ghosting?). It seems that I still have some of that going on.
After custom Lasik 8 months ago, my left eye was slightly overcorrected, and my right eye slightly undercorrected. (At one point, +1.25, and -.50)PTK seems to have made me a little more nearsighted in the right eye. After the PTK, I no longer needed reading glasses for my right eye. I guess I have monovision, but I'd rather have decent distant vision, and wear reading glasses.
We'll see what happens.
