I am 53 year of age and had Epi Lasik on June 20th. My contact bandages were removed 5 days post op but my epithelium in my right eye was not healed. Two days later my doctor reinserted a contact bandage on that eye for another 5 days. After removal both times my eyes were quite hazy and I could not see hardly anything. My left eye is 20/20 - 20/25 but my right eye is 20/35 - 20/40. I have ended up with monovision. This was not my expectation and I can't seem very well at all distance wise. My doctor said my eyes may not get much better then this and if I insist, he'll write a precription for distance. My night vision is terrible, lots of haziness and ghosts from both eyes. Will this get better or should I just go ahead and get distance glasses? I don't know if my vision might still improve. It has been the same for the last two visits. My doctor seems irritated I'm not thrilled about monovision. I play a lot of tennis and wanted lasik for that and driving. I just hate the blurriness.
My vision correction before surgery was -4.25 in my left eye and -4.50 in my right.
Is there still hope that my eye sight will get better?
