First, thank you for having this site, I have learned alot. Well, my surgery took place on Friday 8/18/06. I have had my first post op appointment and things are going well with my Lasik recovery. I had custom lasik and was originally a -8.00 in Glasses and -7.00 in contacts. I am always a person who jumps the gun with problems, but I ask this question and hopefully some good advice will follow. My right eye reads a 20/20, yet my left eye reads 20/40. The doctor told me that there are two deposits that are under the flap that could have been caused by the steroid that I am taking. So, even though it has only been two days my left eye seems to be a bit weaker, and blurry. This just worries me and I am curious what your opinion would be, I am assuming most would say let my eyes heal! I am just a bit nervous! Thanks.
P.S. I am 22 years old, if it makes any difference.

If you have been reading this bulletin board you know that Lasik is often more of a six month process than a 20-Minute Miracle. The fact that a few days after microsurgery on your eyes you have less than perfect vision is really not surprising, even if it is a bit disappointing.
It sounds like your doctor sees the cause of your vision problem in that one eye. I assume that you selected a competent doctor, so allow that doctor to advise you competently. Keep in mind that if the doctor recommends monitoring the situation, your assistance is needed too. If you have a sudden change in vision, call your doctors office straight away and report the problem.
Something that you can do that may make things easier at your next exam is to prepare a list of the questions for your doctor. It is easy to forget something and doctors can be rushed. If you have everything jotted down, a good doctor will be sure to respond to all your concerns.
