Dear Doctor,

I had Rk performed on both my eyes in 1988 when I was 26 years old

I am now 44 years old
Since 2004 i have had to use reading glasses and since June 2005 i have had to wear prescription lenses for my distance vision as well.
I now use Progressive lenses

I would like your comments on whether it is a good idea to do lasik on my eyes.

What are the risks... if any
Drawbacks ????
Chances of success....20/20 vision.

Are there any risks involved in the procedure such that i can lose my eyesight ??

Please be kind enough to give me your honest and valuable opinion as do not want to take any chances with my eyesight.
