I had Traditional Lasik done 5 years ago and now qualify for an Enhancement. I am very confused as to which type of surgery is best--Custom or Traditional? My doctor made several PreVue lenses but they did not seem to help me see that well. She said that the Traditional Lasik would be best then. However, EVERYTHING I read says that Custom is the best now and can help with halos and night vision (I have trouble at night) as well as give you overall better chances of clearer vision. Any thoughts or opinions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!

I'm considering and enhancement (left eye only) and had Custom lasik done 6/06. My surgeon told me traditional enhancement is a better choice b/c Custom has more of a chance of overcorrecting during an enhancement.

Thank you so much for the info! I have been really nervous lately
because I keep reading so much about how wonderful Custom is,
but I cannot find enough info about Custom related to
Enhancement. What about halos and night vision though? I have
heard that Custom is better for that reason. Why is over-correction
a problem when they are using a specific map of your eye? I guess
too I should consider that I had traditional lasik originally and did
not have problems, so I probably should stick with what I had. Any
other thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
