I had wavefront intralasik 5 days ago to correct myopia of -5.5 and -5.75 and mild astigmatism. The day following the procedure I had 20/15 vision in both eyes but awakingtoday I noticed a significant decline in vision and a visit to my surgeon confirms i am now at 20/50 and 20/30. I have been on a course of Preforte and Zymar until now and today the surgeon inserted upper and lower collagen plugs and prescribed Genteal for a minor scratch to the epithelium in the left eye. He believes the regression may be due to dryness of the eye and is treating it as such. Are there other causes? And how common is it for the regression to be this rapid and significant? Will my vision ever return to its 20/15 state immediately after surgery? Thanks.
