Hello -
I'm considering getting Lasik done, and the various vendors in my area offer various enhancement warranties (for lack of a better word). I have a light prescription (nearsighted, about 1.5, not sure it that's + or -) and only a slight astigmatism...not sure if this will be pertinent to your answers or not.

My initial thought is that with 10-15% of patients needing an enhancement, some sort of warranty is a good purchase. Is one year sufficient or should I consider a longer term plan? If possible, are there any statistics on the number of _necessary_ enhancements after the 1 year (post surgery) mark?

Thanks in advance!!
Chris

Enhancement rates are lower in general - so check with your doctor.

But don't pick your doctor on the basis of price - pick your doctor on experience and availability (you want to be able to see your surgeon postop if there are any questions or problems.

Best of luck
