Items of discussion for fellow LASIK surgeons: I have excellent results with double cards when working with unhappy patients that have been referred to me or some of my own patients. It appears that many of us are doing this very thing. However, we do it quietly in the closet. I think we could benefit from each others experience.
My questions:
1. Do you use a double card technique?
2. What parameters do you use it for?
3. Your method/formula
4. Your success?
Please email me with your responses.
Thanks,
Robert Brems. M.D./Phoenix, AZ

I have tried this a couple of times but it has
been a while and I honestly can[t remember the
details. I believe it worked fairly well. I
think it was for an enhancement which was left
with some hyperopic astigmatism. I'll try and
find the cases so I can comment further. I know
one of the high volume surgeons here is doing it
but he hasn't shared his nomograms yet. He is
pretty good about sharing info so as soon as I get
anything definite I'll pass it on.
