I am in Houston and trying to find out about a company called Icon Laser Eye Centers, Inc. The doctor's name is Edward Wade. They are offering the surgery for $1500. which includes both eyes - is this too good to be true. I have been told that the doctor has been performed over 600 of these surgeries in the year that he has been doing them. He is using the promo "to the first 1,000 customers only" and you must pay $500 at the time you make the appointment, not even when you go in but when you call in.
Help,
Cindy

Cindy,
ICON laser centers started here in Arizona with their low price LASIK. Like
most things in life you get what you pay for. Basically, what they have been doing is
hiring a new doctor with limited experience to do the surgery. A technician will be
the one who meets with you and measures your eye for surgery. Someone besides
the surgeon will be checking your eye before surgery and after surgery. If everything
goes well you will be happy. If you have any problems then you will have real
problems.
Good luck,

Cindy: Hello!!!!!! We're talking about real SURGERY on YOUR EYES. We're not talking about buying a car at a weekend sale at the thrift store. Go to a place that is PROFESSIONAL and not interested in your money but interested in your EYES. Good luck.

Cindy,
You may want to read the fine print. Sometimes if you have a certain range of myopia or astigmatism, the price shoots back up to the regular price. There have been several groups here in San Antonio with similar advertisements. Don't let the price fool you. It's a way to reel you in.
Good luck.
