I had the lasik procedure on 5/12/00. My pre op perscription was left eye: -7.25 right eye: -6.25. I am a 52 year old male who wore single lense glasses for app. 30 years. I realize that its only been a little more than one week since surgery, however at the moment, I must use readers (1.75) to see anything close enough to read. What concerns me is at the moment I can also see distance objects with the readers. Is this normal and will this change as the eyes heal? I was told this by my doctors. In addition, I am wondering if its too much to assume that I will be able to see some things such as the computer screen without readers when the eyes settle?

you may be overcorrected but it is too soon to say
whether this will fade. You need to wait a few
more weeks but you should ask your surgeon to
explain it to you when you are next seen.
