Does anyone have any information or experience with Icon Lasik and their doctors Michael Soloman or Jay Schwartz.

Are you referring to Jay Schwartz in Phoenix?

Yes Jay Schwartz out of Phoenix, Ive been told that he will working in Colorado Springs and right now they have a special offer $499 per eye, any advice would truly help.

I think that Jay Schwartz is my manager's (or his girlfriend's) doctor. I'll ask him this week and let you know any info. on him.

You might check out Icon's website at www.iconlasik.com. I got screened there but decided to go somewhere else - I don't want to go somewhere that does the high volume assembly-line type of surgery they do. You might request that Dr. Schwartz' curriculum vitae be faxed to you. He's done over a 1000 surgeries if I remember correctly, does about 50 a week, is a D.O., not an M.D., and is fairly young (under 35). Good luck.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you have your surgery. I had heard great things about Dr. Stuart Sondheimer, but he has since gone back to Ohio. I'm still trying to make up my mind as what I want.

I'm having my surgery on Friday, Oct 1 at Southwestern Eye Center at Stapley and Southern with Dr. Michael Campion. I looked into Icon and Barnet Dulaney as well, and was most impressed with Southwestern and Dr. Campion. Regardless of where you decide to go, be sure you call Arizona Board of Medical Examiners and find out what complaints or disciplinary actions your surgeon has had. I ruled out Icon early, so I didn't call Bomex about Schwartz, but I did get printouts on the doctors at Barnet Dulaney & Dr. Campion. If you have any other questions, I'll be happy to tell you anything else I've found out.
