Iritis is a condition in which the eye becomes inflamed. The cause of the inflammation often is not determined, but iritis can be successfully treated with steroid eye drops under the careful supervision of your ophthalmologist.
Patients can be candidates for LASIK after iritis at the discretion of their eye surgeon. Iritis can cause scarring in the eye, which can lead to glaucoma. There may be other findings in the eye as well following iritis that may lead the eye surgeon to recommend against LASIK. However, if the eye looks completely normal and there are no signs of problems within the eye, and the iritis has been dormant for a significant length of time, it is possible that you would be a candidate for surgery. Again you would need to talk with your eye doctor
Best of luck
