About 7 years ago, I got punched in the eye
and it scratched my cornea. I did all the appropriate follow-up care and to the best of my knowledge, have no lingering problems.
Does a past scratched cornea matter or does it raise special issues in the initial evaluation stage that I should ask about?

A scratched cornea in the past that has healed up would not be an issue. Mention it to your surgeon.
