Hello,
I am 22 years old and have always wanted to have laser eye surgery. I wear soft contacts with a -6.00 rx in my left eye and -7.00 rx in my right eye. I do not have astigmatism. Which type of laser eye surgery is best for me?

You are providing very little information, but with what you have provided it would appear that you could be a candidate for LASIK and IntraLASIK, and could be a marginal candidate for PRK, LASEK, and Epi_LASIK.

For all these procedures you would undoubtedly be able to have either wavefront-guided or conventional laser ablation.

I recommend you read

If not, get one. Some centers do it for free, others charge a small fee. They will do tests on your corneal thickness, pupil size(if not, ask them to), refraction, topography, etc. You may or may not be a candidate. Your glasses pescription(do you know what it is?) would be higher(-7.5, -8.75 possible) than your contact pescription so surface ablation might be out. How are you getting along in contacts? Ive also always wanted lasik but now that I know about it, I may not be a good candidate due to my huge pupils, mild dry eyes and mild presbyopia. Im -5 in glasses(-4 in contacts but I almost never wear em, they arent comfortable)

If you are interested in determining whether or not you are an appropriate candidate for LASIK or advanced surface ablation - you should consider a refractive surgery consultation.
I have lectured with both Randy Epstein and Parag Majmudar - who are Chicago Cornea consultants.
I have also worked with Bruce Larson - who specializes in Epi-LASIK.

Best of luck
