TO GET ANOTHER OPINION I HAD CALLED THE SADDLEBACKEYE OWNED BY DR CHARLES MANGER. WHAT I WANT TO KNOW IS WHICH IS BETTER PRK OR LASIK AND IF ANYBODY HAD DONE PRK HOW IS THE EXPERIENCE. IF ANYBODY CAN REPLY TO ME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE AS I AM PLANNING TO HAVE MY SURGERY VERY SOON EITHER PRK OR LASIK.

post your pescription, cornea thickness and other revelent info so the kind doctors that read this can assist you.
In a nutshell, thin corneas are better suited for prk however prk isnt so good for high pescriptions

I had PRK done on 11/4/2004. I had high prescriptions before the surgery (-7.5 L and -8.0 R). I could see 20/15 with contacts before the surgery. Now, almost a year later, I can see 20/25 with my left eye and 20/20 with my right eye. Overall, I'm happy with the results. The recovery time was very long. I could not see well for the first month after the surgery. I had to use steroid drops for about 4 months. My vision really didn't improve to the point where I felt comfortable until the 6-month post op point. You have to be very patient if you decide to go for PRK. Good luck.

yea prk does take a while for vision to stabalize. Youd did end up -.5 to -1 diopter undercorrected which is common for severe myopes but 20/25 isnt close to being bad enough to enhance and not worth the trouble. Besides your very slight myopia will make seeing from near less difficult :)
