I am planning on getting lasik in January and need to choose between 2 centers, The Doctors of Berkeley Eye Center and Lasik Vision Institute (Dr. Bruce January) in Houston, TX.

Dr. Berkeley is very well known, while Dr. January isn't.

Dr. Berkley uses the Visx star S4 laser while Dr. January uses the Bausch & Lomb Zyoptix laser.

Dr. Berkeley’s center includes post-op visits up to 6 months from the surgery and any refinements performed within 2 years of the surgery. His center also offers Customvue with intralase.

Dr. January's center offers 3 post-op visits, lifetime refinements, and silicone comfort plugs. His center offers only custom lasik with no intralase.

There is a cost difference of ~$200 between the 2 centers. Based upon the information above, which center would you all choose? My biggest dilemma is the 2 year vs. lifetime refinement surgery offered. Will my vision change a lot over the years after Lasik? Also, is intralase worth it?
