I am scheduled for another pre-op appointment with
LasikPlus in Albany, NY this Friday (I've worn semi-rigid contact lenses for 22 years; prescription is -9.25 in one eye, -9.2 in the other, no astigmatism -- second pre-op appointment was scheduled to make sure that I'd had the contacts out long enough - it will be 5 weeks on Friday).

Has anyone had any experience with this particular surgeon or with LasikPlus in other locations?

I don't have experience with your doctor, but with Doctor Sonny Goel in Baltimore, MD, (also with LasikPlus). I've met him and he seems very nice and concerned with answering your questions. I, too, am where you are, rigid hard and gas perm wearer to 24 years. My second check is next week (I'll be out of them six weeks than). Try going to "www.usaeyes.org". There, they also have doctor to answer questions (Dr. Jerry Horn). He is with LasikPlus in Chicago (I didn't know that initially when I first found the board). But he seems very knowledgable. He had a private practice before we went on with LasikPlus. I asked him about my doctor and he told me what he thought. What the heck, it can't hurt.
