HAs anyone had lasik surgery to correct farsightedness and lost their mid range vision? If so why did this happen and can contacts or glasses correct it if I don't want an enhansement? The doctor told me I was 20/25 vision. It has been 6 weeks since my surgery.

It is possible for hyperopic (farsighted vision) refractive surgery to change the quality of vision at certain distances, especially if you are over age 40 and presbyopic (need reading glasses or bifocals).

The Snellen 20/whatever test is not helpful at determining your exact problem. Ask your doctor for a current prescription. This information can help us inform you of what is likely happening.
