Hello everyone. I would like to know if natural ("virgin") corneas get thinner or ticker as we get older?
thanks

corneas thin a little as you get older, this explains why I see so many old people in bifocals. Not only that, their natural lens shrinks, stiffens and thins. I read that its common to get 1, 2 or even 3 diopters more farsighted as you get older. Might be food for thought for those low myopes thinking about lasik to instead avoid it or they will just end up farsighted. I know someone who was -1.5 who got lasik. 10 years later hes now +1.5 and in bifocals. Had he not gotten lasik, he woulda been plano!

You might be ok for surface ablation but research the pros and cons before getting any surgury.
