I had the procedure about 3 weeks ago and am still healing - fuzzy in right eye. I just got hired on with a sheriff's office and will need to get sprayed with OC spray (pepper spray). Any thoughts on potential problems? Thanks!

I don't know of anyone who has been pepper sprayed shortly after Lasik, but delay the pepper spray for as long as you can and DO NOT get sprayed until your surgeon (not your optometrist) says it is okay. Inflammation around the edges of the corneal flap could be problematic.
Perhaps you can get Tazered instead. 8^)

A guy in my academy class had lasik and was OC'ed without any problems. His surgery had been performed approximately a year before the OC though. I had lasik almost five weeks ago and the doctor said there would be no more problems than normal being OC'ed after three months. By the way, being OC'ed is about the worst thing I ever went through... enjoy, and good luck in the academy.
