The surgeon I have chosen for my Lasik procedure is not "Board-certified". I was told he had barely met the time requirement, has taken the test, and is awaiting the results. How long does a doctor have to be practicing before he can take the exam? Should this raise a red-flag? He has done Lasik since his residency and has performed over 8,000 procedures. I feel good about him except this one thing. Should I be concerned?
