I originally had custom view lasik surgery Oct. 2005. Original prescription done was: Left eye -2.25 and right -2.50. I did mention to the doctor that this prescription was not what my contact and glasses were. (L -3 & Rt -3.5)He claimed that was all the test showed I was and sometimes when you have contacts & glasses they overprescribe.
Well needless to say I had to have enhancement surgury done March 8, 2006 on both eyes because the doctor claimed my eyes regressed as they healed. It has been 5 weeks now and I still do not have 20/20 vision and I can tell that my right eye is regressing again. Can I have my eyes enhanced again? How many times can this be done? Also I had to wear bandage contacts after the enhancement because the surgeon said my flaps became really soft and mushy and had a lot of abrasions.

did he put dilating drops in your eyes? You may have gotten a cycloplegic refraction which naturally was lower than your manifast. Another case is your contacts were overpescribed if they were the same power as your glasses. I think the surgeon is doing good to err in NOT risking overcorrecting you. If you can see 20/40 or better, you dont need a 2nd enhancement. Whats your pescription now?

Yes I did have dilating drops put in during the exam.
I am not sure what my prescription is at this time because my right eye has regressed since my last exam on March 20th. My left eye was 20/20 and my right eye was 20/40 on March 20th but has gotten worse.
My doctor did slightly overcorrect each eye on the enhancement because they had regressed so much the first time.
Is it possible to have a 2nd enhancement or is it to risky?

I was right, the dilating drops is for your cycloplegic refraction. This is what you should be going for. You may be plano at this point under a cycloplegic refraction. Lasik was made to reduce dependancy on glasses which held true for you. Keep your residual myopia, youll be thankful when it keeps you out of bifocals so many old people end up in as they get farsighted with age.
