I am scheduled to have lasik sugery on the 31st of next month. After I was checked to see if I was a good candidate for the surgery, the doctor told me that my eyes were very healthy and that I am a good candidate. My vision is currently -5.25 left and -5.50 right. I asked about my pupil size and explained that I was worried about any side affects if these were too big. He said that they are average size and that the correction area is larger then it used to be. I also went and called the state to see if all three ophthalmologists in this clinic were lincenced in their area and they were and are "in good stand", according to the state. my question is, are all these problems post-surgery caused by the person having astigmatism? or any other problem other then myopia before the surgery?
