When they use the machine to measure your corneal thickness, what would the ideal measurement be, AFTER having LASIK?

The FDA requires that we leave at least 250 microns of residual cornea. Many of us prefer >300u to decrease the risk of ectasia. If LASIK is performed the flap could be as thick as 180u, or as thin as 90u with the Intralase. A better question is: "what is the recommended residual corneal thickness not counting the flap?" I prefer LASEK because it leves a residual corneal thickness about 100u thicker than with LASIK. Dr. Johnson (www.goflapless.com)
